About us
The loss of sight, through illness or injury, is a life changing event. And yet, it need not be detrimental to one’s quality of life. Here at eye excellence, we have been helping each and every one of our patients find the road back to recovery for over thirty years. We have seen our patients grow and adapt, and we too have adapted with them.
We specialise in hand-painted, digitally photographed lenses to match our patient’s biological variation of colour and pattern, whilst accommodating structural variations which may affect the socket or surrounding soft tissues. More importantly, we recognise that it is through the provision of continous care, support and understanding, that we have helped to restore our patients to their former selves.
With the help of an international network of health-care professionals, we have reached patients from every corner of our planet and we are grateful to be a part of their journey. We hope to be of service to you as well.

Mr Kanti Fatania, FBDO, CL, FBCLA
Kanti Fatania began his professional optical career in 1980 and shortly afterwards became a Fellow of the Association of British Dispensing Opticians. For several years, he proceeded to develop his skillset and experience, eventually managing multiple clinics in the heart of London, working at Kingston Hospital, St Peter’s Chertsey, Royal London Hospital and St Thomas’s Hospital. During this time he was served as an Ocular Apprentice, where he garnered a reputation for Ocular Prosthesis.
In 1992, as a result of his success and reputation, he determined a move to Harley Street in Marylebone, the heart of the private medical industry within the UK. There, he developed very strong links with several prominent doctors and Ophthalmologists in the Harley Street area, and became the leading Ocularist in London and the UK. As a consequence of his professional network, Kanti has worked on some of the most difficult cases an Ocularist can come across, working with patients coming from around the world seeking the best care in London. Over his career, he has perfected the Ocular Prosthesis manufacturing process, employing best practises and tools developed over a lifetime. He has been recognised by his peers for his achievements, having been awarded medals and commemorative tokens from international embassies he has served, and has produced much thought leadership on Ocular Prosthesis, having also given international lectures on the topic.
Kanti’s professional reputation goes hand-in-hand with his care and respect for his patients; he continues to make every endeavour to ensure his patients are comfortable and secure in the knowledge that he will make every attempt to produce a Prosthesis they are comfortable with.
